Extra Curricular Activities

We hold weekly music sessions with external music teachers for our children to explore musical instruments, and enjoy physical movement and sensory exploration. 

Music sessions create a rich sensory environment where children can listen, sing, touch, and move to the rhythm. These sessions are free of charge and are part of your child’s weekly activities.

We want our children to grow up leading healthy and active lifestyles and encourage this as much as we can. 

Hopes and Dreams Montessori Nursery at Angel has a beautiful outdoor garden where our children can enjoy a great variety of creative and imaginative activities, such as planting, climbing, balancing, nature trails, and using construction equipment. Whereas, at Old Street, we engage children in diverse learning experiences which promote the rich environment to further enhance their gross and fine motor skills, such as climbing, planting, balancing, measuring, and exercising.

Our garden’s mud kitchen is one of the children’s favourite play areas!

We offer our children many opportunities to learn and practice different types of sports. 

Children aged 22 months and older are taught by a qualified sports teacher.

In our Angel branch, weather permitting, the sports sessions take place in our garden. while in our Old Street branch, the sessions take place either in the basement AstroTurf or in the main hall.

These sessions are free of charge and are part of your child’s weekly activities.

We organise regular walks to nearby local parks with our pre-school children. We also plan exciting excursions within the local community such as trips to the library and the puppet theatre.

At Hopes and Dreams Montessori Nurseries the welfare and wellbeing of all the children in our care is paramount.

The activities such as mindfulness, breathing exercises, Yoga, zen experiences, reading, meditation, and out-and-about walks ensure that the children in our care are able to regulate their emotions, feelings, and their thinking patterns.
